After losing the IBF title in super-middleweight, Caleb Plant wants to return to action in a big way. “Sweathands” has Jermall Charlo in the eyes of WBC middleweight champion.
Plant, who seems to be extremely confident, has decided to contact Charlo on social media. The two recently joined a word war on Twitter, and Plant decided not to fight when it came to his intentions.

Plant made his professional debut in 2014. In 2019, he defeated Jose Uzcategui to become an IBF super-middleweight champion and defended the title three times. As a result of Plant’s loss, Canelo became the undisputed superweight champion in just 11 months.

Charlo made his professional debut in 2008. Former IBF junior middleweight champion Charlo won the interim WBC middleweight title in 2018. Another option for Planta could be David Benavidez, a former WBC super-middleweight champion. Benavidez and Plant had been calling each other for years, even trying to get a match reservation. The 25-year-old, who was stripped of his super-middleweight title due to drugs and weight problems, last fought in November and defeated Kyron Davis via TKO.
Other names are also interested in fighting Charl. Demetrius Andrade, a WBO middleweight champion, has been asking him to fight Charl for some time. Canelo also tries to fight Charl, but is also interested in competing for titles in cruiser and semi-heavyweight.
