In the 2021-22 NBA season, we have reached (roughly) half, which means that the debate over the stars will begin to escalate.
Ahead of this year’s All-Star Festival at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, the league has begun a voting process for basketball fans around the world. Which players will become the main voices at each conference? Who could receive insult treatment this year?

How does the All-Star NBA voting process work?
Fan votes make up 50 percent of the total number of votes that determine the starters in the NBA All-Star Game. Current players and members of the media shared the remaining 50 percent. Each ballot consists of two guards and three leading players from each conference. Reserves are collected by NBA head coaches, and League Commissioner Adam Silver collects injury compensation if necessary.
All-Star captains then nominate their teams from an eligible set of players (starting in the first round, reserve in the second round). Captains will be selected based on which players receive the most fan votes in each conference. They are not required to propose based on affiliation to a conference or position.
How do you vote for the 2022 NBA All-Star starters?
Fans can vote for their favorite players through the NBA app and the NBA.com voting site. They can also vote on Twitter by tweeting, tweeting or replying with the player’s first and last name hashtag (#FirstNameLastName) or a Twitter descriptor along with the #NBAAllStar hashtag.
