What channel is Chiefs vs. today on? Broncos? Time, television program for Saturday’s NFL game

The Chiefs hit last week’s defeat with the Cincinnati Bengals. They fell to 11-5, second in the AFC behind the Tennessee Titans, who are also 11-5. To make matters worse, the Chiefs 6-5 conference record ranks them behind the Titans in the conference (7-4). They also lost their heads against each other, so the only chance the Chiefs have to win number one is to beat the Broncos in the last week of the season while the Titans lose.

The reason it means so much is simple. The Chiefs are home 7-2, while the road is 4-3. The advantage at Arrowhead’s home court is tangible, and while the Chiefs have the talent to beat almost anyone in the NFL, any advantage helps in the playoffs, where things are weird. We are also in unexplored territory with an 18-week season, so staying within friendly limits would be helpful.

However, all this is questionable if the Chiefs lose to the Broncos on Saturday. Denver has 7-9 in the season, but it was a rough second half of the year. When the two teams first met in Kansas City, the Chiefs 22-9 were defeated, which was bad for Patrick Mahomes. The Broncos had 404 yards to 216 Chiefs, but three turns the Broncos eventually made.

Although the season for Denver is over in terms of playoff hopes, there is much to build on. It has been widely accepted that the Broncos 3-0 launch was a mirage caused by the bizarrely easy power of the plan, but looking ahead to next season makes it clear that several keyholes need to be filled. They won’t have a staggering draft pick, so the Broncos will need to be smart to address these needs, specifically to quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is ending a one-year contract, and Drew Lock is showing signs of improvement. Lock is expected to start against Kansas City.
