Billa Belichicka record Bills: Patriots coach owns Buffalo – but for how long?

Bill Belichick dominated many teams as Patriots head coach. Bills are no exception.

Since taking over New England in 2000, Belichick has had a score of 36-8 against Buffalo. It includes a 19-3 mark in Buffalo, which includes a victory in Week 13 during the NFL 2021 regular season.

Belichick tackled the powerful favored Bills as a defensive coordinator working under Bill Parcells for the Giants in Super Bowl 25, which foreshadowed the suffering he would bring to the same team in a different position with another team.

But then one remembers that Tom Brady was a quarterback for most of Belichick’s stay in New England. Brady was 32-3 as the Patriot against the Bills and added another victory as the Buccaneer in week 14 of 2021. This is Brady’s best mark as a starter against any team.

If we count it, it means that Belichick is only 4-5 against Bills without Brady. The bias of actuality, when Belichick defeated the Bills on Monday night in December, forgets that the Bills overcame the series in 2020 and also returned to tear apart the Patriots in New England, 33-21, three weeks later in week 16.

Belichick could have had a number like Bills and in the 13th week he showed a fantastic coaching performance. Although Mac Jones had a nice rookie season to bounce back from Cam Newton-Brian Hoyer-Jarret Stidham in 2021 to Brady’s QB mess, the Bills now have a big advantage in the most important position in the game with Josh Allen.

While Brady made his last pictures for the Patriots in 2019, Allen got his last gimmicks as a young QB in 2. His two-year run suggests he’s here to stay as an elite player and runner in the AFC, Patrick Mahomes’ next gen company. Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. Although Jones was good at once, no one is deceived by the fact that he is still a transcendent young passenger, but rather a strong, clever manager who plays a strong running game and defense.

As with other QBs who found their way early in their careers, Belichick soon stopped Allen. But because the Dolphins (Tua Tagovailoa) and the Jets (Zach Wilson) – as well as the Patriots – are still finding out if they have long-term answers, Allen is the new Brady, the undoubtedly dominant QB in the division.

No one takes away the coaching story of KOZA around Belichicko. He did well to beat seven teams in the 10-7 season with a final loss of 2021, upgrading from 7-9 in 2020 without the original Brady. But the Bills, despite a mid-season slump, still won when needed in the big spots. repeat as division champions, and should carry this favorite status for a while.

One of the reasons the defensive Belichick has owned Bills for so long is the fact that they have had 18 starting quarterbacks in 20 seasons before they have solved the problem big with Allen. It’s also a number for the Jets and Dolphins as they try to break out of the vicious circle with Wilson and Tagovailoa.

The Bills are 3-1 against the Patriots in two seasons without Brady. So are dolphins. Belichick still controls the rebuilding of the Jets, but since Brady left the division, the team has been 6:27.

As with everything related to the Patriots, there is a demarcation line from the 20-year-old Brady era to the present. Contrary to some views, Bills and Allen and coach Sean McDermott have turned the script over. Belichick is under pressure to rewrite it quickly or face a similar new story against Buffalo if Jones fails to match Allen as a passing AFC.
