Last summer, Kei helped lead the RSL Academy to the first MLS Next Cup under the age of 15 and won the Golden Football Tournament, scoring five goals in so many matches.

Since then, Kei has mainly played for the club U17, where he scored six goals in six matches.

He has now signed his first professional contract with RSL and committed his future to the club with a two-year contract.

How does RSL view Kei?

“Axel has proven to be one of the best strikers in the country over the past year,” said RSL General Manager Elliot Fall.

“His inclination to the goal is far beyond his years and in conjunction with his elite athletics, he wants it to become a shooting force in our league in the years to come.”
