After a thrilling buzzer with the kind permission of RJ Barrett, after winning 108: 105 over the Celtics at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks Boston jumped to the last play-in at the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks, who lost 25 to Boston (more on that later), led Evan Fournier’s career high with 41 points (10 out of 14 points) and Julius Randle added 22 points. and eight rebounds.

Jayson Tatum led Boston with 36 points, but it wasn’t enough.

Let’s take a look at some of the evening’s most interesting statistics.

10: 3-pointers by Evan Fournier

Fournier was unconscious from a great distance, joining ten of his 14 long-distance attempts. The last Knick who was so prolific in a 3-point game? Of course, it’s JR Smith.

Smith defeated 10 3 against Miami in 2014.

35: Fournier’s point average this season vs. Knicks

In three games against the Celtics this season, Fournier plays much better against his former club than against other teams.

Fournier have scored 30 or more goals this season and all of these matches have been played against the Celtics.

10: Years since the last Knicks buzzer won

Wow, not many things have happened to the Knicks since JR Smith left – do what you want – but RJ Barrett’s winning 3-pointer was the first by JR Smith he played this game for Knicks in Phoenix back in 2012.

He is also the first Knicks player to create a winning game at MSG by David Lee in December 2006. Each of the previous three Knicks winners was on its way.

Barrett had a bad shooting night against the C’s – before the match he was only 3 out of 14 from the field. and shot, but clearly makes the most important, right?

16: Celtics loses clutches this season

Boston is starting to tend to lose concentration during the match. This is the fourth time this season they have lost a match by 15 or more points – the only other side to do so is the Pelicans, and that speaks for itself.

Boston have lost six of the last seven games that went to the clutch (score up to 5 points in the last 5 minutes of the match), and that’s not great either. Overall, C lost 16 of their 23 games which went to the clutch.

Needless to say, coach Ime Udoka was not happy after the match.

“It’s the same result. We lack some psychological resilience there.” he said. “We need someone who will stay calm late. Not someone to add to it when things start to speed up. Sometimes I feel like everyone is trying to do it themselves.”

The Celtics join the Lakers was the only team to blow a 25-point lead this season.

2: Knicks’ 25-point comeback for the last 25 seasons

When the Knicks drop significantly – specifically by 25 points or more – history suggests that they will not win the game.

The only other team to beat the 25-point deficit this season was the Thunder, which beat the Lakers from behind. The Celtics will get a chance to retaliate against the Knicks in a few days on Saturday at TD Garden.
