FA Cup matches and results 2021-2022: Watch every lot and the most important moment on the way to Wembley

The English FA Cup, the oldest football elimination competition in the world, will celebrate 150 years in 2021-22, with 64 teams left at London’s Wembley Stadium on 14 May to pick up the prestigious trophy.

The competition has reached the third round, when 20 Premier League clubs and 24 Championship clubs will take part in the fight, and this is usually full of excitement. Three direct Premier League matches were drawn, one of which involved a defending Leicester City defeat with Watford. The Foxes defeated Chelsea 1-0 in last year’s final for their first FA Cup trophy.

Fans always want to see Cinderella run, but the last time the club won the competition outside the top division of West Ham (1979-80) and the last team from the lower league advanced to the final of Cardiff City in 2007. -08.

The complete schedule of the third round follows below. Swindon Town (vs. Manchester City), Chesterfield (in Chelsea) and Shrewsbury Town (in Liverpool) will have overhead work against the top three teams in the Premier League. The lowest ranking remaining in the competition, Kidderminster Harriers, will hope to keep its run at home until the struggling Reading.

Due to the fact that the calendar of matches is overloaded with the league’s postponements due to COVID-19, the English Football Association has canceled the traditional FA Cup replay for the third and fourth rounds of this year’s tournament. Overtime and penalty kicks will be used to determine the winner of each match in both rounds, so there is no need for another match.
