The Sun reports that the abuse began when Romesh joked about racism in football and joked, “I’d rather be P ** than Scouse,” which allegedly caused a man in the audience to chant, “Millwall!”

Romesh replied to the man, “Why do you let everyone know that you are a racist?”

The source added that the man was shouting a racial swear word: “Hip-Hop Coconut” and said how “terrible glaring racism” was before praising Romesh for dealing with things.

MailOnline contacted a Romesh representative to comment.
